Booked for lunch and decided to reserve an in door table unfortunately they put us right next to the door leading out onto the deck which continually open and closed with a terrible draft every time. Place was busy but not too noisy so we could still have a comfortable conversation. Great location directly on the beach with amazing views of the bay!! Meals were generous portions, fresh and tasty, staff friendly and attentive to our every need Recommend visit if your looking for a great place for a meal
We are not local so choosing where to eat is tricky, but Waves did not disappoint. The inside was spacious and warm on a very cold, wet night & the staff were friendly & attentive throughout our dining experience. Our group of four chose a variety of small plate dishes to share, & a slow cooked lamb shank. The servings were generous & delicious! We would be happy to recommend Waves.
We enjoyed a delicious lunch today - Haloumi salad & Seafood Linguine, so good! Highly recommend Waves & sit outside on the balcony, lovely views around the Bay all the way to Melb. Great staff too.

My first time at this restaurant. We were a group of six friends having a long reunion lunch. Our server, Lillian, was excellent, taking the obligatory group photo and managing our incomprehensible orders. The food was acclaimed by all. My lunch (pictured) was amazing. So much fish! I had already given two pieces away. Thanks to the staff for making our reunion luncheon exceptional.

Beautiful scenery very peaceful and well kept. The whole atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming. The food is cooked fresh and very tasty. A great place to dine and relax. Customer service is exceptional and we didn’t wait long for the food to arrive.
Waves on the Beach has a phenomenal beach view. I visited on a beautiful sunny day and the blue water made for such a relaxing view while enjoying some great food. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. My wife and I started with the garlic bread, which came as a whole loaf generously stuffed with garlic butter and finished with a perfectly crispy crust — it was fantastic. The arancini balls were tasty, though slightly on the dry side for my liking. The satay chicken skewers were excellent and came with a small scoop of sticky rice and a really flavourful satay sauce. We also had the Spanish prawns, which were cooked in a delicious oil with chorizo — incredibly tasty. The food did take a little while to arrive, but it was well worth the wait. The whole experience was made even better by the amazing customer service. The staff were very friendly, attentive, and accommodating throughout our visit. This will definitely be my go-to spot whenever I’m in Frankston. Easy 5 stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Another great gem on Frankston beach. If you like seafood, then this is the place to go. They have seafood entrees and mains. Easy access from the train station or driving. Overall, the food is delicious and affordable. There is indoor and outdoor seating, but if you prefer beach view, I would recommend outdoor seating but not when it’s too windy. The seafood linguine is a must try for seafood fans, otherwise the grill selection la are really tasty. I take my hat off to the chefs and staff. I would heartily recommend a visit to this restaurant.
Went to Waves on the Beach tonight with my family to celebrate my daughter’s early 21st birthday and it was such a perfect night from start to finish. Everything was amazing — beautiful food, outstanding service and such a welcoming atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, the front of house team made us feel comfortable straight away. Every staff member we spoke to was friendly, approachable and attentive throughout the night. I believe one of the managers took our order and she was fantastic. We asked for some recommendations and every suggestion was spot on. For entrees we ordered a bowl of chips, the share plate for two (even though there were three of us!) and the Moreton Bay bugs. For mains, we shared the seafood chowder and the halloumi salad. Every dish was fresh, full of flavour and beautifully presented. Even though it was a busy Thursday night, everything arrived within a very reasonable time and the staff still made us feel looked after the entire evening. It honestly turned out to be the perfect early 21st birthday dinner for my daughter and created such a lovely family memory. We absolutely loved our experience and will definitely be back again to try more dishes from the menu next time. Highly recommend!
